i applied for aspen mastercard awhile back i got no response from them have any contact there we sent $20 for activation fee

Answer:
If you have some questions concerning the status of your application, delivery of credit cards and other issues, you should call the bank and ask about all the details. Speakign about the process of application, I can say that you should always follow the instructions given to you at the site or in the letters of the bank. If you applied for a credit card, you usually wait for an approval or disapproval, about which you usually are informed by the bank via mail or e-mail. You also receive an instruction how to activate your credit card, but you can do it only after you are approved. So, you may have made a mistake sending money for activation, as you didn't receive any approval. Anyway, call the bank immediately and clear out the situation.
Be the way, you can also apply online for a credit card at our site.

I have items on my report that are 9 and 10 years old, how long do they stay on your report?
Spacer
Answer:
Well, it depends on the item. If you have records about bancruptcy, you should also know what bancruptcy chapter you filed for. The chapater determines how many years the item will stay in your report - 7 or 10. As soon as you will learn everything, you shouldn't relax. Your actions should be to remove improper items from the report and make all three reports equal, in order to avoid worrying about them in future. Different banks may prefer different credit bureaus, and if all your reports will be equal, you won't have to learn beforehand which bureau is used by the bank you want to apply to.

I have many credits cards. I have close a couple and being paying off the balance. Does it reflect negitive on my credit to close credit cards? Even if there is a balance that I'm still paying off?
Spacer
Answer:
Experts working in credit bureaus and financial advisors usually recommend that you should wait until the valid term of your credit card expires, as in this case, less points will be removed from your credit score. However, if you are overwelmed with high fees and other unsuitable terms of your credit card, you should cancel it, of course, to avoid odd payment. Also, if you want to apply for other credit cards instead of the ones you want to cancel, you can close the latter without doubt, as the balance in your credit rating will be recovered.

I am trying to help my daughter establish her credit. Recently I co-signed for a credit card from a computer company for her to buy a lap-top computer. The credit card agreement stated that there was no payment and no interest due for the first 6 months. My daughter wants to pay the credit card off within the first 6 months. If she does that, will she have built credit or does she have to make a few payments with interest before her credit is established?
Spacer
Answer:
You should read the terms&conditions of the credit card more carefully or call the bank and ask them if you can make payments before the term of 6 months expires. Very often banks require a special fee for pre-term credit repayment. It is also probable that those "no payment and no interest due to 6 months" are presented as advantages of this credit card, but don't mean that you are restricted in any way. But you will get credit points independent of the way you pay off your credit card balance, as paying off the credit is beneficial for your credit history. Mind that your credit history is updated at least every month, depending on the bank you are holding a credit card by.

I am 17 and am looking for a credit card company that would allow me to have a credit card, even with a very low credit limit, so i can start to esablish credit. Is there any?
Spacer
Answer:
At our site we present banks and credit card companies that provide credit cards for people older than 18. At this age you can normally start your credit by using a credit card with a co-signer or getting a secured credit card. So, you should usually wait until 18 to be able to apply to the majority of banks.
There are also banks that provide credit cards for children and young people under 18, but they are not introduced at our site. Also, they have special requirements for the credit cards of this type, so you should get acquainted with complete information before applying.

What happens to my credit score when I pay off credit cards and then cancel them? Is it different from when I cancel them and then work to pay them off? Which is best? Thanks!
Spacer
Answer:
Generally, it is recommended that you cancel your credit card only when the expiration date comes. If you do it earlier, it will inevitably affect your credit score and hurt your credit history. When you close your credit account, it most often means that you have some credit problems and so it will be reflected in your credit report. So, in both the cases you have spoken of, it is better that you preserve you current credit card deal untill you pay it off completely.

Is it possible to open a credit card account at age 17?
Spacer
Answer:
As a rule, you cannot apply for a credit card online if you are under age. Some credit card companies do issue credit cards for young people under 18 but we do not provide such credit card offers online. But the good news for you is that you can actually get a credit card, the so-called additional credit card, issued in the name of your parents. That is your parents apply for a credit card online and based on their credit history, get or do not get instant online credit card approval. You can make a credit card search among the Best Credit Cards online and choose one to your liking.

I have bad credit but wish to have a credit card as emergency for a trip overseas. I looked into cards for bad credit and the upfront fees are about $270 Do I have any other options?

Well, if you are facing a bad credit situation, most of the credit card applications available for you are of secured credit card offers. It is an indispensable requirement of a secured credit card to charge you a minimum beforehand money deposit, an upfront fee, as you call it,which starts at $200. You cannot avoid being charged the deposit as it serves to secure your creditor's money. The best secured credit card offers allow you to have a credit line up to 100% of your deposit. How can I obtain a card with a lower apr than 20%?
Spacer
Answer:
APR (Annual Percentage Rate) is an expression of the effective interest rate that will be paid on a loan, taking into account one-time fees and standardizing the way the rate is expressed. In other words, APR is designed to measure the "true cost of a loan" to the consumer expressed as an annual percentage of the amount of credit granted. Different loaners calculate APRs differently, therefore, if you want to know the real cost of a credit, you should analyze all terms and conditions a credit card offers you, in the long run. Actually, it depends much on your credit score whether you can obtain one of low APR credit cards. Most of the lowest APR credit cards are assigned for people with good or excellent credit.

I OWN A BUSINESS AND I\'M LOOKING TO FIND A CREDIT CARDS THAT WILL LOOK AT MY BUSINESS CREDIT AND NOT MY PERSONAL CREDIT
Spacer
Answer:
As you accumulate enough points for a good credit score, you can apply for a business credit card for a good credit. In this case you will use your personal credit as a guarantee. Later on, as you continue using business credit cards, applying for the new ones and paying them off on time and in full, for not less than 5 years, you will be able to use your business credit history as a guarantee of your ability to pay. So, when applying for a credit card, you will have a right to give your tax ID instead of SSN, to refer the bank to a business credit bureau. To find out which credit cards base on your business credit, you can look at the terms & conditions of business credit cards and find it there.
